Stillness: Study 12

Stillness posits me into a state of vulnerability - my ego, designed to guard, defend, and protect, is uncomfortable with this. I breathe and move beyond ego as I settle into stillness, I let go of anxiety and fear and I open myself to peace and trust. Here —I surprisingly discover another paradox—in my openness—in my vulnerability, I am grounded, unshakable—strong, and I am protected.

In my state of deep stillness, I grow strong.

I breathe .

Slow is fast, gentle is powerful and stillness moves mountains.
— Martha Beck
