Stillness: Study 17

When I begin my day with stillness, I meet with the peace of presence, and I set the intention of nurturing that presence for the rest of the day. In stillness, I empty myself of all thoughts of past and future - I let go of what has already been done and what cannot be undone. Anger, sadness, and grief from the past melts away. I release all thoughts attached to what I want to do or feel that I must do, and I rest in the moment - in the beautiful now. Fear, worry, and anxiety attached to the future dissipates. I breathe out, and I empty myself. I am comfortable; I am home. In this emptiness, love surrounds me and fills me up. Again, a paradox: it’s in this emptiness of presence that I am most aware of fullness of love: I am love, and I am loved.

In the comfort of quiet, I am loved.

I breathe a slow breath in through my nose. I breathe a slow breath out through my mouth. I meet presence in my stillness - and it moves with me as I go about my day.
